Every year, our Knights of Columbus Councils identify and support a wide variety of charitable causes. The challenge many times is to recruit both physical and financial help. We would like to tell you about a new program that we have initiated in the Rev. Gebhard Braungart Council 8415 in Seaside Park, NJ that provides funding to you with minimal effort on your part. It is a great way to raise money without asking anyone to spend one penny more than they are currently spending.
In 2007, we began operating a travel agency that gives 50% of its commission revenue to our council. The other 50% covers the expenses of the agency. We would like to offer you the same 50% share for any traveler that you refer to our travel agency. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO COST TO YOU! The traveler may be a Brother Knight or anyone who wishes to help us fund our charitable programs. The 50% commission share applies to individual or group travel.
How much money are we talking about? For each member booking a cruise, tour or vacation, the Knights are currently averaging almost $125.00. If 10 individual trips were booked from your council, you would raise $1,250.00. Imagine if we could get additional help from our families and friends. The potential is endless. Just think of the ways you could use this money to help in your community programs.
It is so easy to participate. Just go to our travel website: www.cruiseformycharity.com to search our travel options and submit a trip request. Make certain to indicate your council name, number and location in your trip request so we can send your council the 50%. If you call to book a trip, make sure you give us the same information.
Why let the big internet travel sites fill their coffers with the profits from your travel when you can do so much good by just booking through our Council 8415 Agency. There are no contracts to sign and there are is no work for you except to get the word out.
